What this site is
The Centre for Digital Consumers runs this site to help people deal with digital products and services. Everything on it is free to read and use, and you do not need an account.
What you read here is general information, written to be useful to as many people as possible. It is not legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it cannot cover every situation. Check anything important against your own circumstances before you act on it.
Our free tools
Our tools are free and work without an account. They are built to run in your browser without storing what you enter, as our privacy policy explains. We keep them accurate and current, but a tool cannot know your exact situation, so treat what it tells you as a helpful starting point rather than a final answer.
Using our content
Our words and images are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. You can copy, share, translate, and adapt them for any purpose, including commercially. You have to credit The Centre for Digital Consumers, link to the licence, and say whether you changed anything.
Our name, logo, and code are not covered. Do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we wrote something we did not, or that we endorse you.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute about them falls to the courts of England and Wales.
If we change these terms, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
