Codes and Terms Explained
Where the response or the copy uses codes, abbreviations, or technical terms, the response explains what they mean.
Intent
Exported records are full of internal codes and abbreviations. Unexplained, they turn a copy of the person's data into something they cannot read.
How to test it
An assessor scores the criterion against a single response:
- Score 2
- Every code, abbreviation, and technical term in the response and the copy is explained.
- Score 1
- The response explains some of the codes, abbreviations, and technical terms, and leaves others unexplained.
- Score 0
- The response or the copy uses codes, abbreviations, or technical terms, and explains none of them.
- Not applicable
- The response and the copy use no codes, abbreviations, or technical terms.
