Intent

A response covering the last twelve months of a ten-year relationship looks complete unless the person is told the period. The date range is what makes the gap visible.

How to test it

An assessor scores the criterion against a single response:

Score 2
The response gives the date range the search covered.
Score 1
The response says the search covered recent records, or current records, without giving dates.
Score 0
The response says nothing about the period searched.

The law it reflects

This criterion reflects Article 5(2) of the UK GDPR. That mapping is a guide, not a legal test: conformance is judged against the criterion, not the article.

See D4 in context in the full standard.
