Acknowledgement of Receipt
The organisation confirms to the person that it has received the request.
Intent
Without an acknowledgement the person cannot tell whether the request arrived. They are left choosing between waiting and sending it again.
How to test it
An assessor scores the criterion against a single response:
- Score 2
- The organisation confirmed to the person that it had received the request.
- Score 1
- The person received an automated receipt that does not say a request was recognised as one.
- Score 0
- The organisation sent nothing until the response itself, or nothing at all.
